Junctional rhythm. A dysrhythmia originating in the area of the AV junction tissue, usually having a rate of 40 to 60 bpm. On an EGG, a junctional rhythm may exhibit an inverted or absent P wave or a P wave hidden by the QRS complex, which usually appears normal.
